{"id":3898,"date":"2021-12-14T12:03:07","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T10:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hiv.ee\/sex-between-men\/seksuaaltervise-kontroll\/"},"modified":"2025-01-08T09:50:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T07:50:02","slug":"sexual-health-check","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hiv.ee\/en\/sex-between-men\/sexual-health-check\/","title":{"rendered":"Sexual health check"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>STI and HIV diagnostics, treatment and counselling for men having sex with men.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can have yourself tested for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV free of charge and get sexual health counselling in health centres aimed especially at you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"less-risk\">MSM health checks are confidential and free of charge irrespective of whether or not you have health insurance!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The service includes the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>HIV testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STD testing\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to the results of your health checks, samples will be taken for diagnosing the following infections:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gonorrhoea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trichomoniasis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chlamydia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mycoplasma genitalium<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A blood sample will be taken from you for the following tests if necessary:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Syphilis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hepatitis B<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hepatitis C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual health counselling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free condoms and lube are available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The service is provided by:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the Sexual Health Clinic in Tallinn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Sexual Health Counselling Centre in Tartu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hanvar Private Clinic in Kuressaare<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiv.ee\/abikontaktid\/msm-seksuaaltervise-kontroll\/\"><strong>Contact details of health centres providing services to MSM<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STI and HIV diagnostics, treatment and counselling for men having sex with men.
